Holidays!
Simply exhausted. Extremely early training combined with unbearably hot and humid sleepless nights does not a happy Angel maketh.
I can’t wait for our holidays to my family in Greece in 2 weeks. Chilled coffee and cocktails by the sea wearing a little more than an a smile and a bikini.
Spinning!
5 AM Spinning Class.
+++ We’re only 2 gym bunnies and one trainer! Feels like she’s our own personal trainer.
_ _ _ The Class might get axed due to poor attendance.
I know 5 AM it’s too early but I start work at 7ish am (benefit of working with 50+ year old that they are up at the buttcrack of dawn) and between 6-ish and 7, I get to spent time with my baby, Alexia while...
Alexia
Despite Alexia’s chickenpox nightmare, she managed to make me proud to be her mum when she kissed me out of the blue and said “mama”. It’s the first time she did it, she’s 15 months after all, and I needed it so badly after sleeping on her bedroom floor for 3 nights in a row.

G, could you link to the site, pretty please?
Thank you!

I’ve been reading a blog recently that talks about acceptable attire for professional women. And I have to say that I disagree with some of the things they say. Especially their rule that professional women should always wear tights / stockings / panythose / insert whatever you call them here.
Um, yeah agreed, if you...
A quick giggle during lunchhour!

Today, I was at the extremely crowded gym when someone came up behind me and shouted in my ear scaring the living shit out of me. I jump into a karate pose in front of everyone. No one was behind me. It was a new song starting on my headphones. A trainer asked me if I needed an ambulance. FML
My old self would have said “ABSO-EFFING-LUTELY!!!”
As the only...

Main Cryogenic blah...blah..
I’m dealing with some Main Crygenic Heat Exchanger at work! It sound cooler that it is. Except, I don’t think it’s cool at all. I have no idea how my moderate talent for differential equations lead me to the Oil and Gas industry via engineering studies.

Noooo! Chickenpox!
Alexia’s nursery has 3 confirmed cases of chickenpox. Chickenpox is the last thing we need but there’s in not much we can do.
My friend Sam is officially the internet police →
They say imitation is the greatest form of flattery and I’d be damned if I don’t find withoutmelissa’s blog the freshest breath of fresh air around but plagiarising whole passages, thoughts, even life events? Well, it’s a bit sad to say the least.
Since everyone has a life, however sad, boring or insular it is, I’m sure there’s something interesting for them to...
Friday
First Friday after a very long time where I have the day off while Alexia’s in the nursery. I don’t know what to do….
Do something that waits my attention around the house i.e. Tide up my ever expanding collection of fashion and food magazines; do something for me i.e. Gym followed by some time in the pool and steam room or simply veg with the mac or go check what’s new at...
Lighter Life
I don’t understand why people are so against something when they haven’t got a clue about it. Why something is deemed controversial, unhealthy, dangerous, isolating when you haven’t even spent 5 minutes doing your research to find out what something is about.
I’m talking about the ‘Lighter Life’ eating plan/diet.
All my life I was tiny, no taller than...
Dinning Chairs →
These would match, down to the last detail, the other four chairs that we ‘inherited’ from great-great-great auntie Elsie. Inherited is a term I use loosely as 2 of those were in my MIL attic and the other two were used as a stepping ladder in Ian’s Uncle’s garage with matching dirt and paint drips to match. There were suppose to be 6 at least but I think somewhere around...
BIRTHDAY
It’s my birthday and my entire household is sick. Our trip to see the in-laws in Yorkshire has been cancelled. I feel so bad for my Mother-in-law. She’s been waiting for weeks to see Alexia.

MMR
Today is the day of the the much dreaded MMR vaccine for Alexia, my 13 month old baby.
“The real troubles in your life are apt to be things that never crossed your worried mind;”
Yep, at 20 I never worried about the links between the MMR vaccine and autism. Despite various studies discrediting the original “MMR-causes-autism” study, a small part of me is still a bit...
Sometimes I think I'll never grow up. →
I already have about 2 pairs of heels with cartoon or comic strips pattern but these send me back to when I was an uncool punky teenager. Better grow up, I guess?
